Tree Tower

In the words best meaning the Tree Tower with its 44m of height is the highlight of the tree top walk. Unique, not only because of its architectonical form, but also due to how the tower is built around and above 3 giant and old 38m fir trees.  More than 500m long, a ramp is winding its way up, providing wonderful looks into life and development of those 3 giants. From the tree trunk to its crown you will find a huge variety of life. Mosses, insects, small animals and birds can be watched from a completely different point of view. Even here the walk is built for wheelchairs and childrens buggys, rising nowhere more than 6% and providing a smooth ascent.

Arriving upon the tower´s  44m high platform you are welcomed by an incomparable view. Over the mountains of Lusen and Rachel a sea of trees of the Bavarian and the bohemian forest unfolds itself over hundreds of kilometers. On a clear and sunny day even the northern alps lie in front of the visitors view.

Wheelchairs can access the tower to the second platform. Still 40m high. Here you may also park the childrens` buggys, before accessing the upper platform over  the final stairs.
